This is the Red-eared slider, Scientific name Trachemys scripta elegans.
The red-eared slider or red-eared terrapin (Trachemys scripta elegans) is a subspecies of the pond slider (Trachemys scripta), a semiaquatic turtle belonging to the family Emydidae. It is the most popular pet turtle in the United States, is also popular as a pet across the rest of the world, and is the most invasive turtle. It is the most commonly traded turtle in the world. I like this animal because turtles are very cool. They carry their house on their backs, which is also their spine and their ribs, very philosophic (maybe).
This is the Giant isopod. It is an arthropod from the sea that shares is from the same order as pill bugs! Differently from pill bugs, this one lives in deep parts of the ocean and its a lot bigger.
A giant isopod is any of the almost 20 species of large isopods in the genus ,Bathynomus. They are abundant in the cold, deep waters of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. Bathynomus giganteus, the species upon which the generitype is based, is often considered the largest isopod in the world, though other comparably poorly known species of Bathynomus may reach a similar size (e.g., B. kensleyi). I like this animal because... just... look at him! Giant isopod isn't exactly just one species, but I like all of 'em. Same as turtles, they have a pretty cool defense, in which they roll up and become ball like.
